Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 14

This 55-year-old female from Western New York desired cosmetic improvement of the contour of her abdomen.  She had loose, excess skin and fat and she also had scarring from previous abdominal surgery.

Before surgery, she had an average body frame, lipodystrophy and excess skin of the abdomen along with a depressed widened scar on the right lower abdomen.

During surgery, Dr. Giacobbe tightened the muscles of the abdomen to correct diastasis recti and he excised redundant skin and fat of the abdomen.  Two Jackson-Pratt drains were placed under her skin to prevent fluid collection.

The patient had a normal recovery following surgery.

At her 8-week follow-up appointment, her abdomen was soft and flat, contour was excellent and the scars were excellent. 

Follow-up photos were taken one year after her surgery.

The patient is very pleased with her results.
